Today I am going to start a a couple of new segments on my blog. The first of these new segments will be called “What Do I Weigh Wednesday”. When I first started my blog I used to post weekly updates about my weight and how I was doing first thing Monday morning, but as you know, a lot has happened since I started this blog at the end of last year. I, along with my family are trying to get back to normal after a crazy 11 weeks or so now, so here is the first of many What do I Weigh Wednesday posts.
As you know I have started P90X and so far things have been going really well. In fact I have lost another 6.8lbs since I started the intense exercise program. Ok, that’s great, but what is my overall weight, and how much have I lost during the past 39 weeks? Well lets take a look at what the scales told me this morning.
238.2lbs! Awesome. This means that in 39 weeks I have lost 95.4lbs. This is an average weight loss of 2.44lbs per week. While my weight loss has slowed (I expected that to happen) I am continuing to plug away with both my exercise and my healthy lifestyle. In fact I really could not ever imagine going back to how things used to be. I feel so much better now, both in a healthy way and a mental way. I feel better about myself because I look better. My BMI has dropped from 44.1 to 31.5 and when I lose the next 1.5 point from that score I will no longer be considered obese! Now that will be an amazing day! I cannot believe that I am just 4.6lbs away from hitting the 100lb lost mark!
Of course though the scale is only one way of telling if you are losing weight, another way is to check the mirror, and your clothing. I have dropped from a 4XL and am pretty sure that if I went to the store right now and purchased a L size shirt that it would fit! Even XL is getting to be a little to big for me. As for my pants, I have dropped from a 46 to a 38 and even the 38′s now require a belt to hold them up! Yes, things are progressing nicely.
Comparison Pics
It has been a little while since I last posted some comparison pictures of myself on here. I still feel weird about doing things like this, because it is really putting me out there, but I think it helps me realize that all the hard work is worth it, and I like to think that these pictures will help inspire others to make healthy changes in their lives too. So, without further ado, here are my new comparison pics.
And on that note, I will close this post out! Thanks so much for all of your continued support! You guys are awesome, and all of your encouraging words help me get through this.
Kind Regards,
Brett
