Wow, I totally forgot to write my P90X updates for 2 days! What am I playing at? Anyway, things are going pretty well I think. I am able to get through most of the workouts this time around, however I am still not doing one of the routines (Yoga X) due to my back issues, but there are always other things that can done in place of it, so without further ado lets get into my reviews of these days.
I really wish that I could do Yoga X. The workout seems to be very interesting, but I just know that I would end up hurting myself so, like many others, I decide to switch that day out with another form of exercise. For me, my other cardio exercise of choice right now is biking, well my exercise bike to be more precise. This heat wave has made it near impossible to go outside to exercise, just yesterday the temperature hit 118 degrees! No way will you find me running outside in that heat.
My trusty bike is doing me just fine. It has turned out to be one of the best purchases I have ever made. So, what would have been day 10 of P90X was replaced with a 12 mile, 30 minute bike ride. It is great exercise, and excellent cardio, and what makes it even better is that I can do it in the comfort of my air conditioned home. I do miss my running though.
Day 11 – Legs and Back
Day 11 (yesterday) went really well. Legs an back is a great routine, although quite hard for me, it is very rewarding when you make it to the end. There was a slight improvement in my performance compared to week 1 so I am happy about that. I still had to replace the pull ups with push ups because I do not have a pull up bar, but I would rather do that than sit out those segments and do nothing. Here is a look at the tracking sheet for yesterday.
Overall I am quite pleased with how yesterday went. I could feel a definite improvement compared to the first time I went through the routine. Another thing I have noticed is that I am not suffering with DOMS(Delayed onset muscle soreness) as much as I was when I first started P90X, which is a good sign I think.
Today (Friday 3rd) I am to go through my favorite routine. Kenpo X. I absolutely LOVE Kenpo X and I am genuinely looking forward to my workout this afternoon. I will be sure to post an update on how it went this afternoon. I am even thinking about starting video diaries. What do you guys think about video diaries?
