A Long, Hard Day but I Feel Great!

Today has been a long day, but I accomplished a lot. I am now fully emerged in my exercise routines again and it honestly feels amazing to know that I am taking care of myself once more. As well as doing my P90X workout today, I also went for a run with my wife. and my neighbors. I am really looking forward to my next 5K on August 11th. While I am not as quite ready for this race as I was my previous one,  I still think I will do okay. Lets take a look at tonight’s run stats.

Tonight’s run was great. I did not know how it would go because Kenpo X kicked my butt earlier on in the day, and my legs were already hurting pretty bad, but once I got started the pain went away. It was super hot out tonight. Even though we waited until 8pm, it was still 96 degrees out, at least there was a slight breeze to help cool us down. Instead of followin the C25K program tonight I decided I would just run to see how far I could go. At the 27 minute mark I was done. My legs were starting to give out, mainly because the Kenpo X caught up with me, but during those 27 minutes I covered 2,08 miles.

I am very happy with this. If I can continue at this pace I would be on target to run a 5K in roughly 38 minutes. That would be 3 minutes faster than my last 5K. I know it is not about how fast you go, but it is nice to see that I have not lost any of the hard work and effort I put into training myself earlier on in the year. I am going to keep on pushing myself so that I can be the best I can possibly be. My goal is still to hit the 200lb mark, and if I keep on training like this, and keep on eating clean, I think the last 42lbs will fall off pretty quickly! I am hoping that I can hit the 100lbs lost mark by the end of August, so I have 5 weeks to lose 9lbs! I can do this!

Thanks for all of your support. Be sure to keep an eye on my blog during the coming days because I will be announcing an awesome giveaway! More details to follow soon!

All the best,

Brett
