The race is almost here! I cannot believe it. I am so excited I can barely stand it. Tomorrow is going to be a big day for me. I know it is just a 5K, but it represents so much to me. Yesterday I finally got my bib number and official Oklahoma City Memorial Marathon t-shirt from the expo in downtown OKC. Now it finally feels real.
This week has been busy, so busy in fact that I have not even been able to do Week 9 day 2 or day 3 of the C25K program, so I am a little worried about that, but I know things will go well. I was thinking about going for a run today, but I am not sure if it would be a good idea for me to do that one day before the main event. It will be ok. One thing for sure is that I will be nice and rested before tomorrow.
I am going to try and post a link to a live tracking service so that those who would like to follow me in real time can, but I am not entirely sure how to do this. I do know that there is a Oklahoma City Memorial Marathon app on the iPhone that can be used to track individual runners, but I will try to get a link posted on here too! I am hoping that I can complete the 3.1 miles in about 40 minutes, but the main goal for me is just to cross the finish line! I cannot wait to get my hands on my first ever medal. I will post a big update tomorrow about the race, and I promise to post a lot of pics. I hope everyone has an awesome weekend.
All the best,
Brett

Best of luck tomorrow! We love OKC
You will do great! I think you will find the excitement around you at the start and throughout the race will be more than enough to get you to the finish. 40 minutes is very doable and I look forward to reading your recap.
Good luck! Race days are so much fun! Have a great time and best of luck making that 40 minute time! You can do it!
Good Luck Brett.
