Ugh, what am I like! Late again with my updates, oh well on wards and upwards. This past Saturday I completed Week 8 Day 3 of my C25K challenge. The weekend was a little rough to be honest. My RSD was flaring and my back was sore, but I decided that I would push on and get this day taken care of (which turned out to be a mistake later on). Keep on reading to see Runkeeper stats.
The weather was beautiful Saturday morning, not a cloud in the sky, but for some reason the GPS on my phone did not work very well. After my session, I had to go into Runkeeper and manually alter the way points (which took forever), so I am not entirely sure just how accurate these stats are, but it should give a rough idea on how the day went. After my five minute warm up walk, I ran for about 10 minutes, and then the pain i my foot got intense, so I had to back off for a while. I think I ended up walking at a brisk pace for a little over 6 minutes, and then I jogged a little more.
I made it to about the 26 minute mark before the pain was bad again, so I stopped the jogging and focused on doing a brisk walk. I think the impact from jogging was wreaking havoc on my foot today. Had it not been for the RSD I would have been just fine, but this is just something I will have to learn how to overcome. Not a great day by any means, but at least I went out and tried to do it.
At this point in the game it is too late for me to repeat day, so I will just soldier on to week 9 starting on Monday. Next week is the week of the race, so no time to spare.
